What to file next

Section 9 renewal, filed with a Section 8 declaration

When: Due between the ninth and tenth anniversary of registration, then before each tenth anniversary after that.
Extensions and grace: A six-month grace period follows, with an added per-class fee.
If it is missed: A missed renewal cancels the registration, and there is no revival route for it.

How Section 9 renewal works

General information about USPTO practice, not legal advice. The register is the authority, and a filing that has not yet posted can change what is owed.
