Refund Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
Try it before you pay anything
The free plan is permanent, not a trial. It needs no card, cannot be billed for anything, and includes real work — searches every day, conflict checks every month, and marks you can docket and watch.
We would rather you found out Sealvo was wrong for your firm without paying than argue about a refund afterwards, so there is no paywall in front of finding out.
Subscriptions
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan keeps working to the end of the period you have already paid for.
- A month already started is not refunded pro rata once the firm has used the service in it.
- If you are charged after cancelling, that is our mistake and we refund it in full.
Credit you have bought
- Unused credit does not expire. It stays with your firm until it is spent, including across billing periods and plan changes, so credit bought and not used is never lost.
- If a piece of work fails, the unit is returned automatically. You are only charged for work that was delivered.
- Credit that has been spent is not refundable, because the work it paid for was done.
- Unspent credit can be refunded within 14 days of purchase if you ask. After that it stays on the account, where it keeps its value indefinitely.
When we refund without arguing
- We charged you twice, or charged the wrong amount.
- We charged you after you cancelled.
- The service was unavailable for a sustained period of the month you paid for.
- You were billed for work that was never delivered.
In any of those cases, tell us and we will put it right. We would rather refund a firm quickly than have it explain the problem twice.
What we do not refund
- A plan month you have used, because you later decided not to continue.
- Credit already spent on work that was delivered.
- An outcome you disagree with. Sealvo returns research — search results, conflict scores and the reasoning behind them — and a result you did not expect is not the same as a service not delivered. It is not legal advice and does not replace your own judgement.

How to ask
Email support@sealvo.com from the address on the account, with the invoice number or the date of the charge. You do not need to give a reason, though it helps us fix whatever caused it.
We reply within one to two business days. An approved refund goes back to the card it was taken from, through our payment provider, and usually appears within five to ten business days depending on your bank.
