What to file next

Section 8 declaration of continued use

When: Due between the fifth and sixth anniversary of registration.
Extensions and grace: A six-month grace period follows, with an added per-class fee.
If it is missed: A missed Section 8 cancels the registration, and there is no revival route for it.

How the Section 8 deadline works

General information about USPTO practice, not legal advice. The register is the authority, and a filing that has not yet posted can change what is owed.
