Response to the outstanding office action

When: Three months from the issue date for most applications filed on or after 3 December 2022, extendable once by three months for a fee.
Extensions and grace: A Madrid Section 66(a) application keeps a six-month response period instead, with no extension available.
If it is missed: The application goes abandoned. A petition to revive runs two months from the notice of abandonment, on an unintentional-delay standard.
